I am Joyce Sparbanie, a registered nurse by profession, but also a passionate swim coach and instructor. I have spent my life around water as a student, swim team member, lifeguard, certified pool operator, instructor and coach.  I have been teaching all levels, ages, and abilities of swimming lessons for over 30 years, specializing in adults and adaptive adaptive aquatics. I coached the Woodgrove Varsity Swim team for 6 years, and helped lead them to State finals each year. I have also coached  Aqua Strength and Endurance classes for those adults/teens wanting to improve their strokes, efficiency, and endurance including triathlete swim training. I focus on technique and build confidence in every swimmer.

I am Sydney Sparbanie.  I started swimming when I was 5 years old, and haven’t stopped.  I swam for the Lovettsville Dolphins as well as the Woodgrove Varsity Swim team. At 10 years old, I started apprenticing as an instructor’s aide for Splash Swimming.  Since then, I have taught all ages, levels, and abilities for the past 12 years. I have also coached  Aqua Strength and Endurance classes for adults and teens.  I’m currently a head lifeguard and pool manager at Claude Moore Rec Center, as well as a swimming and lifeguard instructor.

I am Angie Sparbanie.  I’m currently a college student at Coastal Carolina University studying Sports and Recreation Management.  At CCU, I swim, lifeguard, and teach swim lessons.  You also may have seen me at the Lovettsville pool where I am a lifeguard and pool manager.  I have been swimming since I was 4 and have been a team member of the Lovettsville Dolphins and Woodgrove Varsity swim teams.  I began my teaching experience as an instructor’s aide with Splash Swimming and have since taught for the past 10 years all ages, skill levels, and abilities. And, if you ever find yourself at The Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, check out the mermaid show…. You may see a familiar face! 🧜‍♂️

I am Abby Sparbanie.  I’m currently a student at Woodgrove High School. I have been swimming competitively since I was 5 years old and am a team member of the Lovettsville Dolphins swim team as well as a Junior Coach. I also swim for the Woodgrove Varsity Swim Team and work as a lifeguard. I began my teaching apprenticeship as an instructor’s aide with Splash Swimming when I was 10 and have gained so much knowledge and experience. I'm excited to begin my swim lesson career.

I am Libby Sparbanie.  I’m currently a student at Woodgrove High School. I have been swimming competitively since I was 5 years old. I currently swim year round for Monacacy Aquatic Club and am team member of the Lovettsville Dolphins and Woodgrove Varsity swim teams. I also am a Junior Coach for the Lovettsville Dolphins and work as a lifeguard.   I began my teaching apprenticeship as an instructor’s aide with Splash Swimming when I was 10 and have gained so much knowledge and experience. I'm excited to begin my swim lesson career.
